One of a kind 2020 Thor Magnitude SV34 Super C Motorhome on the Ford F 550 Chassis with the 6.7L PowerStroke Diesel and 4 Wheel Drive. This Super C Motorhome has almost 20,000 in upgrades! Motorhome is in very good condition and currently has 38,900 miles.
We purchased this coach new in October 2019 pre COVID. We have done numerous upgrades to make this motorhome better and more reliable than if you bought one off the dealer's lot today!
A heavy duty front bumper and grill guard was installed to protect against animal strikes or brush in the backwoods. The Lithium Battery and Solar System can provide power to make coffee, cook in the microwave / convection oven or run one of the two air conditioning units.
A Dirt Devil central vacuum system has also been added to make cleaning the coach a breeze. The motorhome has also been wired for Starlink Satellite Network Service that can provide Internet and the ability to make phone calls when there is no cellular service in the remotest areas in North America.
When the Lithium Battery System was installed, the stock inverter was upgraded to a 3000 watt Inverter / Charger to power any circuit; unlike the stock batteries and inverter setup which could only power the refrigerators and TV for less than 12 hours when on battery power. If not running one of the two air conditioners, the Lithium Battery and Solar System can provide power for days.
While the motorhome runs off 50A electrical service, it has been upgraded to allow both air conditioning units to run on 30A service if that is the only option available. One air conditioning unit can be run on 15A service.
In addition to the motorhome upgrades the Ford F 550 chassis suspension has been upgraded as well with adjustable shocks, Sumo Springs, heavy duty rear sway bar and steering stabilizer for the best possible ride in a coach of this size.

Last call if anyone is interested in a Magnitude that is probably better than what you will find at any dealer...... new or used. I have a deal to trade-in my Magnitude SV34 on April 11th . If you or anyone you know has an interest, contact me as soon as possible..... otherwise it will end up on a dealer lot and likely for money than I'm asking.

Paul[/QUOTE] Hi Paul..... thanks for the kind words. I hope you are doing well. I'm moving to Dyamax and a 2024 Isata 24FWSFX Freedom Edition w/ Recliners. It is an all-electric coach with no generator or propane and a sophisticated Lithium System from Xantrex. I had 5 or 6 Mercedes chassis coaches on my list. I thought I might end up in an Airstream Atlas or Leisure Travel Vans Unity at first but having to make the bed to use the seating ended up being a deal breaker in terms of floor plan. The Renegade Vienna was also under consideration. I eventually narrowed it down to the Isata 3 and Tiffin Wayfarer and went through both thoroughly. The fit and finish was comparable on both.... but the Dynamax cut and buffed paint job is a bit nicer. The Tiffin Wayfarer has the absolute best bathroom in this class with a large one-piece step-in fiberglass shower, great toilet placement and excellent vanity. But the Murphy Bed placement made getting into the refrigerator and wardrobe more difficult and the Murphy Bed mattress would have needed to be replaced. I also read about more problems with the Wayfarer and one unit that was a complete disaster so I think it is very possible Thor Industries is squeezing Tiffins budget and quality is suffering more now. The Wayfarer has some other nice features but the Murphy Bed floor plan didn't cut it..... and the fear of Thor hurting Tiffin in the long run was enough to scratch it off me list. I originally wanted a small slide and an aero front cap instead of the cab-over bunk. The Isata 3 24FW has a queen size bed that is separate from the living area and has the most comfortable and thickest RV mattress I have ever seen as stock. It also comes with the best and most comfortable recliners I have seen from an OEM as well. They are Thomas Payne 3-Seat Powered Lay-Flat Recliners with heat, massage and and high-back adjustable head-rest. This all means a full-wall slide but it is only 15' vs my current 22' slide and it is also lighter than the Magnitude slide since it only the recliners, small wardrobe and mattress on it. The other amazing thing is when the slide is closed, it has more room in it than My Magnitude. In the Magnitude you can't open the fridge all the way and you can't open some other things all the way and it is impossible to get back to the bedroom wardrobe. My wife also has to sit down for me to pass so I can get to the bathroom. I can't even get from the driver seat to the house in the Magnitude without being a gymnast.... which I'm not. In the Isata 3 with the slide closed my wife and I can walk by each other... she can open the fridge door all the way.... she can open every cabinet and drawer all the way and you can easily get to the bathroom. You can even use the recliners with the slide closed. I could not believe how much room there was to get around with the slide closed. I can also easily get from the driver's seat to the house... even with the cab-over bunk. So no more going out in the rain to come in the man door for me! On top of that I have already contacted Brian Vroom and he told me he can install the Vroom Slide System in the Isata 3 if I ever want it. While there is some modification to replace the PowerGear SlimRack system it is doable and he has installed the Vroom Slide System in about 20 coaches so far that have the SlimRack system. Although he said the SlimRack mechanism is better than the Schwintek mechanism but it is much louder as well. So given Vroom is an option, I am not worried about the 15' slide vs getting a 10' slide. Downsizing has it's issues so the cab-over bunk adds more interior storage than the aero front cap. Dynamax cab-over is not a separate attachment like the Magnitude. The cab-over sidewalls are one piece and part of the house walls vs a seem to attach the cab-over. Then only a small front cap is attached to the cab-over bunk area. Besides the floor plan winning out, Dynamax Customer Service is the best I have seen from any of the manufacturers I have been following. The Dynamax General Manager that defines the requirements for their coaches is online every day in the Forest River forum and he answers questions posted and answers PM's. He also provides documentation, schematics and troubleshooting tips to help out customers. He also uses the prototypes after they are built and spends a few days in them. Then sends them back for changes before he approves it for production. He also posts his experience in the prototype and what was good or bad / worked or didn't work. So while I know there will be problems I do feel good about Dynamax support. Their factory service also gets great reviews. The only downside is they will only do warranty work. I have also watched the construction video of the Isata 3 and I am impressed with the materials used and the way the coach is designed and constructed. Unfortunately my local dealer here in Florida didn't have one on the lot. I had them work up a price to order one since I was not in a hurry. But when they put the pricing together the MSRP went up $10K and it would be a 2025 model year. It turns out most of the increase is due to the new Mercedes chassis. They dropped the V6 Turbo Diesel and now have a Twin Turbo 4-Cylinder trying to make the environmentalists happy. It adds a little HP and Torque and a 9-speed transition but that is not worth a $10K price increase to me. I think a Twin Turbo 4-Cylinder is going to work hard to tote around an 11000lb coach with a 15000lb GCWR. I personally would rather have the V6 and save $10K. I found a 2024 in PA near my property where I garage my Magnitude. They are a small dealer but they were very responsive. They just got it in and sent me lots of pictures of it. So this does make it easier from a Trade-In perspective.... I don't have to drive the Magnitude back down to Florida. I'll be selling my PA property next year so having the smaller coach from a storage perspective will also be beneficial. We were already planning to fly up to PA for 6 days in April to see family so I'll get the Magnitude ready when I get there and then drive it over to do the PDI on the Isata 3 and make the trade..... unless I sell the Magnitude outright before then.
I just looked it up and even though there aren't any videos on the 2025 model yet, I did see the 2024 model. A single full wall slide and no other fuel needed(meaning a single source of fuel being diesel for the chassis) is an interesting idea. No propane and no generator is looking toward the future of motor homes in this class. Good luck with it and let us know how things turn out. Paul

Paul[/QUOTE] Dynamax is only cutting over to the 2025 model year in production now. They should start hitting dealers lots in June so the marketing material will probably be out soon. They are just finishing up their supply of 2022 chassis from Mercedes with the V6 turbo diesel and the 24's. The GM from Dynamax said they see a lot of coaches (Class A and C's) that are 3 or 4 years old with around 10 -15 hours on them so that was one of the drivers for eliminating the generator. It can also be a hassle having propane at times. Whether you are on shore power or not cold temps can burn through a lot of propane running the furnace. When you get to the bigger Luxury coaches they have no propane and use hydronics for heating and hot water. Then factor in Lithium and solar systems have gotten better and they are packing more Ah per dollar now. So they had this concept of a Single Fuel (SF) coach that ran only on diesel and batteries.... and a sizable weight savings. They are using the Truma Combi D for heat and hot water. It burns very little diesel when it is running. It is also very quiet. The GM said when he took the prototype out in late October and then temps at night where in the 30's he could not even hear the furnace running and the coach stayed very warm. There are only two battery packs that are 310Ah each and they have built in heater technology for cold weather controlled by the BMS. They also use Xantrex's control system for charging and operation. They also added a second 280A alternator to the chassis to act solely as a generator for charging the batteries. So on hot days you can run the coach A/C while driving and the second alternator (and solar) will keep the batteries charged. The Xantrex 3000W Inverter / Charger is wired to power every circuit in the coach and they are using its built-in transfer switch instead of a separate one. It has a Coleman-Mack 15K BTU A/C and Heatpump as well. They are going to possibly switch to the Truma A/C now that they have a ducted system. They are testing it now. The fridge is a 12V compressor fridge so the major 120V appliances are the Microwave / Convection, Induction Cooktop and A/C ww/ Heatpump. The construction is great. They use composites on the exterior and floors so no wood there. They use injected block foam insulation in the walls and ceiling. They use a wood core inside their aluminum structure so screws don't get stripped going into just thin aluminum. They use a one piece crowned fiberglass roof and this coach uses dual pane acrylic windows that are well insulated and have built-in screens and black-out shades. The windows also open out to allow more airflow into the coach. Then they do a cut and buff paint job. Dynamax did a nice job designing the coach. It's not perfect and I would have done a couple things slightly different but I really can't complain. We'll see how we feel after we have had a chance to use it a bit.

Thank you Judge for all the great info and research. We had a 35SB on the F550 and sold it after too many problems like the ones you had (slide broke and cap came loose/leaked). Judge, how did you handle the spare tire...mount, etc?
I was checking out the 24FWSF specs and it looks like an advanced, comfortable coach. Definitely envious of no LP or gen set.
I noticed the CCC (GVWR - UVW) = 1109 lb. With full water, diesel, and 2 adults, the remaining available CCC is down to ~100 lb. Maybe I’m missing something?

Mercedes actually makes a spare tre cage for about $120 that mounts under the chassis. I intend to purchase and install it there instead of adding the weight of my Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier I will probably need to do a small mod or two but others have done it.
Dynmax used to include a spare tire for it but they discontinued it a couple years ago.

It is about 1000lb or so if I recall. When it is fully loaded (full fuel, 65 gallons of water and gear), I was 950lbs over the GVWR. Now the diesel weighed 475lbs and burned off quickly. I also would carry less than a full load of water. So I was probably at GVWR or over or under by a few hundred pounds at times..... and well within the specs of the tires, axles, etc. from their individual ratings. My Outlaw 29H had a low OCCC as well. Dynamax calculates the OCCC based on a full fuel load. The OCCC for the coach I'm buying is 908lbs so not much different than my Magnitude. The water capacity is 50 gallons but I will likely carry 30 - 40 gallons. That gives me 200lbs for gear with me and my wife. With downsizing we will carry less stuff. The wardrobe is smaller. The fridge is smaller. So in the end we will carry a lighter load than we do today. I could gain 200lbs if I wanted the aero front cap instead of the cab-over bunk. But we decided we wanted the overhead bunk for the storage space given the amount of space we are giving up. I also know from discussions with the Dynamax GM that they are very conservative with their weight ratings based on how they weigh their coaches in the production process. So I'm not worried about the 908lb OCCC at all. Anything close to 1000lbs is very good for a coach on the Spinter Chassis. There are many out there with OCCC's of 600lbs.
That Isata 24FWSFX looks really nice Judge. I'm with you on sticking with the V6 versus the 4cylinder twin turbo. That V6 is a proven workhorse, just look at the Amazon vans that rack up millions of miles with those V-6's. Will you still be using/towing the Wrangler as a Toad?

I'll still have the Jeep to tow.... but the one nice thing about a 25 footer is we won't always need the Jeep. We'll take out eBikes and even sightsee in the coach given I can take it and park it in a lot more places. It is also a foot lower than the SV34 so that is another bonus.

I did my customized 23-page / 5-hour PDI last week on the Isata 3 24FWSFX. I found a few minor issues and two major issues. They were able to fix some of the minor issues and one of the major issues (a Bad Ground Fault on the electrical outlets) while I was working on my PDI.
The other major issue was a problem with one of the two Lithium Battery packs I spent some time on the phone with Xantrex troubleshooting but the dealer may need to replace the battery pack.... plus they need to order a replacement USB port and a window handle to correct the remaining minor issues.
We already had plans to fly back to see family in May so that gives the dealer a few weeks to fix the outstanding issues before I finalize my PDI and take delivery. I am happy with the rig so I am willing to wait for them to address the outstanding issues and then take delivery.
My initial impressions of Dynamax are generally positive. The design, construction, fit and finish are better than my previous two Thor models. The dealer appears to be good to work with but as expected some of the techs had no experience with a lot of the new systems on this specific model like the Truma Combi Diesel Furnace / Water Heater and the Xantrex eGen Lithium Power System. Fortunately I was well-prepared and knew how to operate and test everything.
